On 23 April, the European Parliament endorsed a legislative report from the Energy Committee on a proposal from the European Commission to amend the 2002 Energy Performance of Buildings Directive. The report is now with the Council. Four days later, the World Business Council for Sustainable Development published a report addressing barriers to lowering energy use in existing and new buildings, with projections to 2050.
