Why this blog?
Every now and then, I’ve the habit of typing my name in the various internet search engines. I was generally quite pleased with the results, as most of the info found were related to me, with very few and marginal exceptions.
Recently, unfortunately, things changed. With the growing amount of information available online, cases of homonymy are also more and more frequent. And, surprisingly (but not so much, after all), I’m not the only Nicola Rega on the net. As some info linked to this name are not only far from my profile, but also potentially affecting my image, I thought it was time to take some actions.
I have therefore decided to open this online space, which should be the gateway to my profile, to the Nicola Rega I represent.
I’d like to use this blog to concentrate the results of my activities/researches, as to provide a more comprehensive understanding of my fields of expertise and to allow readers in selecting the sources of information directly related to my person.

Why a “corner”?
In my first visit to London, I got fascinated by the Speaker’s Corner, an area in Hyde Park where public speaking is allowed and everyone could take the floor to say (almost) whatever he wants. I thought it could have been a good starting point for expressing my thoughts over the net.
Moreover, in Italian, remaining in the corner (litt. “restare nell’angolo”) means staying aside, which in a way is the purpose of this blog. Not to speak loudly, not to become an outspoken voice over then net. Just clarifying who I am and what I do, nothing more, nothing else.
Last, but not least, a corner is also a place where two streets meet. Ideally speaking, this corner would like to be the place where Internet and I finally meet.
